FaceTime international calls
Can I make free International calls using FaceTime? Does the other person have to have an Apple device?

Facetime requires an Apple device and Apple ID. You can make international calls (Well, I can say I can call Canada from the USA at least).
Correct. Facetime is Apple's chat app and uses the Internet. It won't connect to landlines or to Android phones which don't have the correct app to use it.
Android and Windows users can use a browser with a link created from Macs and iOS devices using FaceTime (iOS 15, macOS Monterey, and later).

Thank you. I need to make some calls from Canada to the UK over the next few months. But, I do know that at least one of the people have an Android device. I assume one can’t make an audio only FaceTime call to a landline then. Correct?
