RESOLVED: Apple keyboard (without a USB-C port) not connecting to Macbook Pro

I have an apple keyboard (without a USB-C port) that is not connecting to a 2021 Macbook Pro with Sonoma 14.2.1. I've charged the batteries, and tried turning the bluetooth off and back on. Any tips? Resolution: I restarted the computer. I turned bluetooth on/off. I shut off the keyboard and back on. It took about 5 attempts before it actually paired.

I figured out that the issue was that my other computer was already Bluetooth paired to the keyboard, preventing it from pairing to the new computer. I turned off Bluetooth on the old computer, then it paired with the intended one.
