Looking for a case for my old Macbook pro circa 2007, A1226

Hi;

I wanted to know if anyone has any leads of getting a case for my classic MacbookPro from 2007. These are the A1226 machines. https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-2-duo-2.4-15-santa-rosa-specs.html

Appreciate any leads on this. Thank you.

J.

Thanks for the reply. Usecase for the case is protection, so was hoping for the typical snap-on covers. A sleeve is definitely an option, but preferrably something that is permanently attached to the mac.

Those are generally not advised. They interfere with proper cooling. And, depending on how they are attached, may endanger the screen. Anything that gets between the screen and the keyboard, even around the edges, may cause pressure on the screen, cracking it.

I have a generic padded neoprene zippered case I bought from Amazon for less than $20 years ago. I've used if for every model Mac portable I've had since them. I can't imagine needing to spend more than that. I only use mine if I'm putting the laptop in a bag that doesn't have a builtin laptop pocket.

I ordered it so long ago I can't even find it in my Amazon history (or maybe I bought it somewhere else). But, it looks a lot like this:

You've given no indication on what you need a case for so it would be really hard for someone to make a specific recommendation. The only thing that really matters is the size of your computer, not the model or the internal configuration. Search Amazon (or your preferred vendor) for cases for a 15" laptop and find one that you like.
