15 Pro Max Camera Laser Damage

I have bought 15 Pro Max one month ago and sadly it is has some blue dots in camera photos and videos. I have the apple care. I went to apple store Dubai Mall. The guy said this is a laser damage and it will be covered under accidental damage and they will replace the camera not the mobile. So my question is that the mobile will be opened or not? And it will still remains water resistant or not? Looking forward to your helpful replies, thanks
