Why are photos when using front camera with flash grey & dull

When I use the front camera on my IPhone 15 using the flash, the phot turns greyish and dark and dull. Whereas when I use no flash the picture fine. I have updated my software & ran a diagnostics test with Apple support, spoken on the phone with Apple support and there is no fix.

iPhone 15 Pro Max camera screen too dark before taking photos I have an iPhone 15 pro max with iOS 18.6.2 Recently (days) when I take photos, the camera screen is significantly darker than the photo which it takes, even when the photo is viewed immediately after taking the shot. is this a setting issue?
