Severe Cursor Lag/Jump on Mac Pro (Late 2013) Monterey 12.7.2

I'm absolutely desperate for a solution. This cursor lag has completely handcuffed my productivity.

I'm running a Mac Pro (late 2013) with Monterey 12.7.2. The mouse is a Logitech M705 connected via the USB receiver plugged directly into the computer. I'm running two ViewSonic displays connected via HDMI>thunderbolt.

  • I've attempted to change the resolutions and refresh rates with no change.
  • I've tried with WiFi and with Ethernet.
  • I've attempted to clean the mouse optical window, and swapped in fresh batteries
  • I've killed the bluetoothd through terminal.
  • In Monterey, resetting the bluetooth module has been removed. But I used to do try this as well.
  • I've shut down the Mac and reset NVRAM/PRAM
  • I've shut down the Mac and unplugged for 15 seconds before booting again.

I've had this issue intermittently for years but I could usually resolve it using one of the above methods. It seems since updating to Monterey, it's an unavoidable problem.

I have another mouse on order that allows you to change the polling rate, but I feel like that shouldn't be necessary. But hey I'll try anything at this point.

Let me know if you have any other ideas for me!
