I have a iMac running Ventura 13.7.3 it runs fine, no issues but recently my mouse will just randomly start disconnecting. I have changed the batteries and seems to solve it for a little bit but the issue comes back where it will just not connect but the green light will show when switching the mouse on.
Is this common? Is there a fix, it's just really irritating when you're trying to do something.

How long have you had this Apple Magic Mouse? Which exact model is it? If it has a Lightning port for charging is would be the A1657 model that came out in 2015.
Has this mouse ever been left discharged for an extended period of time (think months)? Even if not, the symptom you describe in your post could indicate that the mouse's rechargeable battery may now be depleted and cannot be fully recharged.
I've had the Mac and Mouse less than a year. I'm not sure what model just checking the details shows me it's a Magic Mouse 3.0.6
It's not a rechargeable one, I am putting AA batteries in it. It's happening more frequently, the only thing that stops is if I click and disconnect and use my stylus to reconnect it seems to fix it for a while (couple hours while on computer) I can't see much else about it as in battery life the way I can see with my keyboard.

Ok, this Magic Mouse is model: A1296. It came out in 2009 and was designed to work with OS X Leopard, which makes it quite outdated.
At this point, I would guess that this mouse has overextended it useful life and will need to be replaced. AFAIK, there is no repair options available.
