Unknown charges

I keep getting a notification that apple is trying to charge my account for $38.60 and $8.57 and I’ve looked through out my apps and purchases and cannot find anything for either of these prices but because I don’t have the money on the account on my App Store it won’t let me purchase even free apps…. How am I supposed to dispute something that I can’t find? And I need to be able to download apps but it won’t let me until I pay those which I don’t want to because like I said I don’t even see these anywhere on my apple purchases at all. What do I do?

Apple has a support article about charges — see each of the steps in the following instructions. They include information on contacting Apple Support if the other steps don't help. If they charges do not appear on your Apple Account directly, then it may not have been changed to your Apple ID, but rater some body else's Apple ID.

If you share your payment method with someone or are the family organizer in a Family Sharing group, then check the other family sharing member's Apple account for the charge you are seeing.
