When is the Apple Card going to support linking to budgeting apps

This is an absolute deal breaker for me using my Apple Card if I can't get the transactions to sync up in my budgeting app or an app I use that tracks my assets and liabilities. I can't imagine the number of people out there using YNAB (You Need a Budget), Mint, Das Budget, Credit Karma, Goodbudget, Nerdwallet, Empower, Betterment, or Wealthfront who cannot properly track their finances because Apple/Goldman Sacks is asleep at the wheel.

It's 2024 Apple, wake up. When can we expect to get with the times?

MacBook Air, macOS 14.2

I had no trouble syncing my Apple Card account to Mint. However, Mint is going away. You can no longer open new accounts and won't be able to access it all after March 23, 2024.

When Mint announced it was shutting down, I switched to Monarch. I can import my Apple Card statements into Monarch at the end of every month. I am of an age where I don't expect everything to be in real-time, so it works for me.

Apple Support Community is a public discussion forum for fellow Apple users to connect and help each other. Apple isn’t here and won’t read your comments. In my opinion Apple doesn’t want to compromise safety and security for convenience. But I can see you feel strongly about the feature and you may want to provide your thoughts to Apple Suppprt.

Ok, that's helpful for the folks that use Mint. When I was searching I saw people saying Mint couldn't link either but all the posts were old. I use Das Budget, Credit Karma and Wealthfront. None of those connect. I've been trying to use my Apple cards for certain rewards but it keeps screwing up my budgeting pretty badly not being in the mix, requiring manual adjustments (and more importantly remembering to go back and make the manual adjustments.) I'm at the point where I can't use this card again until it syncs.

Plaid isn’t free and only supported by a few banks. How much are you willing to pay for your budgeting app/service? Your personal and financial information are only as safe and secure as the company storing and sharing it. Chase Bank dropped support of Plaid over a year ago over security and privacy issues.

I understand my options. This was not a request for advice. This is a request to implement a standard feature.

This is not on the app providers, it's likely on the bank but as a customer of Apple, I'm taking my complaint to them to lean on GS to implement it.

The API exists, and is in use, which implies that other app vendors aren’t interested in using it, or are not willing or able to meet the requirements for using the existing and available API. Which implies you will want to address your request to use the existing and available API to your preferred app provider.

And it's flakey as all get out.

I suspect Mint, while being phased out, will ultimately end up in Credit Karma, which parent company Intuit also owns.

I've used Mint for, gosh, years. But you get what you pay for. Monarch costs money, but it is really a better product. And, I'm happy to pay for not having ads pushed at me.

I do hope that, for people who prefer ad-supported, Credit Karma adds in Mint's budgeting features.
