I have phishing/Spam appointments scheduled to my iphone calendar, version 17.2. I read some previous instructions stating that I need to click on "unsubscribe." Unsubscribe isn't available on this appointment. I've clicked on Delete. It deletes and then re-adds the appointment. Please advise on how to remove these spam appointments.

No Problem. It is an issue with the Microsoft mail servers which is affecting all device platforms. There has been no resolutions from Microsoft, but as long as you are not needing the Outlook Calendar, your problem will be solved. You can still use the default Calendar app without any trouble.
If you using a Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, or Hotmail account, then you will need to remove the Calendar sync option on that email account.
