How to Redirect Gmail Messages to iCloud Trash in Apple Mail on iMac
I have a 27” 2017 iMac Desktop with OS X Monterey 17.2.3. I use Apple’s MAIL exclusively. At first, I was using my gmail address in conjunction with Apple MAIL. But now that Google is becoming ‘grabby’, I am slowly moving away from anything Google and using my iCloud address in conjunction with Apple’s MAIL. Porting over all folders/messages is taking a while. However, I have discovered that no matter my sender and return address (same iCloud addresses both), when I select a message for Trash, it always goes to the gmail Trash. If I want to then permanently delete the message, I have to go to the gmail account>>Trash and delete it from there. I do not know how to redirect mail sent to my iCloud address within MAIL to automatically get sent to my iCloud>>Trash. Suggestions?
