I can’t change wallpaper from lock screen

I can’t change my wallpaper from my lock-screen even after i unlock my phone (i have set up face ID) but when its lock it says to unlock it first to edit, after i unlock it i can change it but when its already unlock nothing happened when i hold down my finger (iOS 17.3)

It won’t let me change my wallpaper from the lockscreen I used to have a 15 pro and recently upgraded to the 16 pro however I noticed that when I try to change my wallpaper from the lockscreen no matter how long I hold down for even when the phones unlocked by Face ID, it still won’t let me change it. I have to keep going into settings to change it if I want to. I’ve tried restarting the phone numerous times but nothing seems to work. I am also on the lastest iOS as well. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Changing wallpaper from lock screen isn't working. Make sure your phone is locked. Tap and hold the screen but make sure that you DO NOT unlock the phone with face ID. Once the screen says unlock to edit at the top, tap and hold again. Then the screen should say face ID or enter password as shown in the pictures below. Now it would be okay to unlock the phone. Hopefully that works and you can change it. This doesn't fix the problem when the phone is unlocked unfortunately.
