I purchased an ipad for my daughter a few years ago and put it under my apple id. Since then she has gotten a phone and we were able to sync her apple id with her ipad, but it still has my pictures on there. If we delete these pictures from her icloud, will it delete the pictures from mine?

When using the same Apple ID and iCloud Photos, any photo deleted from one device will delete them from all devices. You can verify if you are using iCloud Photos by going to Settings > [name on top] > iCloud > Photos. If the sync option is turned on then that device is using iCloud Photos.
Also when using the same Apple ID and iOS 17, then call logs and voicemails will appear on all devices. For example, if you do not answer a call on your phone and it goes to voicemail, your daughter will also get that voicemail. For this reason and many more, it is absolutely necessary that she has her own Apple ID.

Yes it will delete your pictures. She needs to have a separate Apple ID. Family Sharing is an option to share purchases and use parental controls, but not required if she is over 13.

Since you have different Apple ID's, deleting a photo from her devices will not affect the photos on your device. The pictures remained on her device since it previously had your Apple ID, but since it is now signed in with her Apple ID, it will have no effect on your devices.
She has her own apple id on her phone. But when we purchased the ipad it was under my apple id. We were able to take it to a store and they synced her ipad to her own apple id. I am just wondering if we delete it from her apple id, will it still be on my apple id?
So if they are under both apple id's, if we delete from her apple id, it will still be on mine?
