Sonoma 14.2 and 24hr clock on menu bar resetting to am/pm

Hi - I know there are a few international 24hr clock issues around with Sonoma. Here is another.

1) so I dont like the huge clock on the lock screen... it spoils the screensavers... so I switch it off in the System Settings/General/Date & Time show 24-hour time on Lock Screen

2) but I also live in Europe (sort of)... and prefer a 24 hr clock on the menu bar and in calendar so I switch the 24 hr time on...

3) if the 24hr lock screen is set to "dont show" then 1) has no effect...

4) so I switch the "show on Lock screen" back on..(temporarily)... which does allow the 24hr time to reset and appear on the menu bar (not calendar)... I then switch the show on lock screen off.. and the 24hr clock remains...

5) until a shutdown - then it is back to the "we all live in America" view of the world...

its irritating.

I managed to fix it on mine (Sonoma 14.4.1)

I went to General > Date and Time > and enabled "24-hour time" and "Show 24-hour time on Lock Screen"

like I had done so many times before.

Except this time right after I had enabled both, without touching anything else I rebooted my computer.

When I logged back in it had changed to 24-hour time. Both are still enabled in the settings (before they would revert back).

I don't have the 24-hour time on Lock Screen even though it is enabled. I also don't want that, but now it works and I am not going to touch anything again.

Hope that helps someone. It was driving me crazy.

I live in Europe too, and much prefer a 24-hour clock.

I had never seen it revert to am/pm... but then I always had the clock on the lock screen too.

I confirm that turning off "24-hour clock on lock screen" unduly turns off 24-hour clock altogether.

I don't even need to restart to see it happen.

Definitely a bug... I am running 14.2.1, will update to 14.3.1 and will test again.
