iPhone 15 Pro Max not connecting to cellular, wifi, or bluetooth after push of 17.3.1 update

The phone did not attempt the update, but last night around the time the update was released the phone suddenly will no longer connect to services of any kind. Cellular settings displays an update is needed to connect. Wi-fi on/off toggle is greyed out in off position. Same with bluetooth. Enabling from command center prompts a few minutes of glitchy screen flashes before resuming to above behavior.

Attempting to update the software with both a mac and PC results in an Unkown Error (4000).

Backup seems to have completed successfully so my next route is a factory reset. Apple support was unhelpful and said take it to a store... which I will if restore doesn't work.

Any insight to this issue? Is it widespread on this update?

Well, after searching around, I found this which fixed all my issues (stated above):

  1. Go to the “Settings” app on your phone.
  2. Go to “General.”
  3. Choose “VPN.”

Remove !ALL! VPN profiles, and configurations on your iPhone.

The cellular and WiFi will work fine.

Thanks everyone! This one ended up being a hardware issue. Apple did not replace the phone but is apparently putting the old front and back glass on a completely new device… seems really dumb when the glass is not damaged. They kept the phone overnight so it should be right as rain today at pickup.

When they ran diagnostics almost everything was triggering error codes. They said it wasn’t related to update but it seems an odd coincidence to me.

I'm on iPhone 15, and since installing iOS 17.3.1, my phone has had major Wifi issues. Very slow to load any pages in Safari, if at all. I cannot get into my Personal Information, Sign-In & Security, Payment & Shipping, & Subscriptions settings - loader just keeps spinning. I've tried everything like forgetting my network, resetting network settings, and reinstalling the OS. My Wifi Wireless Router, when logged into the router, shows that my phone is connected to Wifi. I've restarted the modem and router. All other devices on the network are speedy. And I've connected to other networks, faced with the same issue. Just want to let you know, you're not alone, Awakener23.
