Sudden connectivity issues IPhone 12 Pro Max

I’m trying to help my brother figure out what happened to his iPhone 12 Pro Max. For wherever reason, this morning it t will no longer connect to mobile cellular data, WiFi or Bluetooth…. Trying to mobile cellular connection he gets error message device issue connecting to mobile network… WiFi won’t toggle and Bluetooth continues to search without ever finding ANYTHING…

contacted support and told to force it to reset, so finally got it to reset….however, unable to finish completing the setup due to not being able to connect to any cellular, WiFi or Bluetooth and when using apple devices it’s like my pc and his iPhone doesn’t even see each other.

how can we resolve this issue?? Any suggestions?

It sounds like your brother's iPhone 12 Pro Max is experiencing a significant connectivity issue. Since the reset didn't resolve the problem, here are some steps to try:

1. Check for Hardware Damage:

  • If the phone was dropped or exposed to water, internal components like the Wi-Fi or cellular antenna might be damaged. A technician may need to inspect it.

2. Inspect Modem Firmware:

  • Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ About and check if the "Modem Firmware" field is blank. If it is, this could indicate a hardware issue with the baseband chip.

3. Reset Network Settings:

  • Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Transfer or Reset ➡️ Reset ➡️ Reset Network Settings. This will erase saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords but might resolve connectivity issues.
