Something stuck on iPad screen

My iPad is working fine but it’s just that when I turned it and it had a notification popped on my screen asking if home would like to send me critical alerts. I tried to press either allow or don’t allow but it didn’t work if if I press anything. I couldn’t even do my password but luckily I had a keyboard connected but even with that it was still stuck on my screen. So my question is how do I get rid of that notification off my screen?

Do a force restart of the device. You don’t tell us what iPad you are using so there is a couple of ways to go about it.

If you have a device with a Home Button:

  1. Press and hold both the Home Button and the Power button till you see the Apple Logo on the screen

If you see a slider on the screen to “slide to power off” ignore this screen and continue to hold both buttons. You’ll see the screen turn off and then the Apple Logo will appear. This can take 30-45 seconds for the whole process. Once you see the Apple Logo on the screen, you can release the buttons and allow the device to continue booting as normal.

If you have a device with no Home Button:

  1. Quickly Press and release Volume Up
  2. Quickly Press and release Volume Down
  3. Press and hold the Siri/Sleep button until you see the Apple Logo

As stated above, if you see the slider, ignore this and continue to hold the button until you see the Apple Logo. Once you see the logo, you can release the button and allow the device to load as normal.

Once it’s booted back up, your device has been reset and you should see that it is responding as normal again.
