Apple Watch Do Not Disturb no longer recognizing location

Over the past couple of weeks, my Apple Watch 9 has stopped recognizing when I've left a location in "Do Not Disturb Until I Leave" mode. It worked flawlessly for months, as did all my previous Apple watches. Now it remains in Do Not Disturb until I physically turn that off. The map app on the watch continues to show my location, so it's not an issue of location tracking. Instead, it seems to be an inability to poll that information in the Do Not Disturb software. Any idea how I can fix this? It's a problem because I don't always remember to manually turn it off and then I might be in Do Not Disturb all day long.

As this used to work…

Start basic diagnostics by force restarting the Watch and paired iPhone at the same time:-

Force restart the Watch

i.e. press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

Then while Watch is restarting, force Restart the paired iphone   Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

Test it for a suitable period depending on the nature of the problem.

If it is still misbehaving...

Unpair and set up again, takes about 20 minutes.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch – Apple Support (UK)

Set up your Apple Watch – Apple Support (UK)

If no remedy, unpair again and setup without restoring the backup. You will lose little except Faces and some settings

Thanks for the reply. I tried the first two solutions and they didn't work. I hadn't quite gotten around yet to setting it up as a new watch. But oddly enough, I happened to be switching to a different cellphone provider which meant canceling the existing cellular connection and setting up a new one. After doing that the Do Not Disturb Until I Leave has been working just fine.
