While scrolling on Facebook .. its not going smoothly when scrolling and there is a "newsfeed sound" .. but iam just scrolling not refreshing the app .. its weird thing because its was okay in the morning but in evening this problem happened .. I reset the whole iphone and nothing changed & deleted the App and re-installed it .. and still the problem.

You can turn off sounds in app but it doesn't fix the stuttering and stopping suddenly when scrolling so those noises are just indicating something is happening in the backgound that shouldn't be.
Same thing happens to me since the update yesterday. Also, for the first time on my iPhone I got a “your phone has been hacked” message, right after the update installed.
This problem come up after updating to 17.3.1 IOS.
This isn’t problem of iOS update. I didn’t install 1.3.1 yet. This is Facebook app update problem :/
I googled it and the answer was that Facebook added the “chirp” sound while scrolling to make scrolling more engaging for its users. 🙄
Apparently it's a Facebook update. Super annoying.
I had that scrolling issue aswell, sometimes it stopped randomly.. such
annoying. But now it works when using latest Facebook v. 451.0.4
atleast, so you guys need to wait until there is new app update.

I would like to truly know what the problem is that’s causing this. Turning off the sound is great but actually fixing the problem would be even better. My wife’s iPhone is not doing this. I’ve noticed that she hasn’t did the latest update. I’m just curious if this is what the problem is.
My Facebook is doing the same thing started 4 days ago my husband Facebook isn’t doing it!
I logged out then that didn’t work so removed and reinstalled the app still being stupid and chirping a lot and like sticking while scrolling.
Turning off the sound did not work on my iPhone11, why does Apple do these things, it’s so frustrating to have this sound continually while scrolling, Apple please get your act together this update was riddle with bugs. Not impressed.
Omg I’m having the same problem and it’s so annoying, Facebook may genuinely be one of the worst and buggiest apps I’ve ever used, and this is coming from a full-time Mobile App Developer and an iOS user for over 10 years
Same exact problem here. I will be glad when this problem can be fixed. If it makes any difference I’m using an iPhone 12.
This is happening to me too. I deleted and reinstalled the app but it still happens. Makes scrolling at work a little difficult when trying to be discreet
Try this.
While this does stop the sounds, it doesn’t stop the scrolling stopping suddenly and not going smoothly.
