Scrolling on FaceBook

You can turn off sounds in app but it doesn't fix the stuttering and stopping suddenly when scrolling so those noises are just indicating something is happening in the backgound that shouldn't be.

The weird sounds can be turned off on "In-app sounds" settings.

but i feel like i got an other issue with scrolling on facebook, when i scroll a bit fast, it suddenly stopped midway, like its so annoying istg, anyone got same problems, or it just my touchscreen, cz i've tested scrolling on other apps and went perfectly smooth

I’ve been having problems with the chirp when scrolling quickly AND it will stop the scroll on the ad and get haptic feedback when it does as well. This seems intentional by Facebook I’m thinking. Does anyone have a resolution to the issue or anything?

My Facebook is doing the same thing started 4 days ago my husband Facebook isn’t doing it!

I logged out then that didn’t work so removed and reinstalled the app still being stupid and chirping a lot and like sticking while scrolling.

Yup, Meta has not been making quality apps of late.

I had that scrolling issue aswell, sometimes it stopped randomly.. such

annoying. But now it works when using latest Facebook v. 451.0.4

atleast, so you guys need to wait until there is new app update.

Omg I’m having the same problem and it’s so annoying, Facebook may genuinely be one of the worst and buggiest apps I’ve ever used, and this is coming from a full-time Mobile App Developer and an iOS user for over 10 years

Issue is now fixed in the latest update to the Facebook app - Version 451.0.4

The Facebook app is not an Apple product or service. In the last year or so, FaceBook/Meta seems to have really dropped the ball on their apps for iOS/iPadOS.

You can try deleting the app from your device and re-installing it. If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact Facebook for further assistance.

My wife’s phone and mine have both started this yesterday. Unless it updates automatically without consent, then an update can’t be the reason. Neither of us allow our phones to automatically do anything we can help. Not sure what’s going on, but definitely a Facebook/app issue. Annoying, so we turned off in-app sounds until it gets resolved. Ditto, would like to know the reason behind the sound.

I’m using a temporary work around. iPhone 12 Pro, same recent Facebook app update that’s started this problem for everyone. If you put the whole phone into silent, the annoying newsfeed chirp while scrolling stops but Facebook videos still have audio if you click to unmute them. Better for me than not letting the Facebook app make noise, because I lost video audio that way

Turning off the sound did not work on my iPhone11, why does Apple do these things, it’s so frustrating to have this sound continually while scrolling, Apple please get your act together this update was riddle with bugs. Not impressed.
