Message failed to send on new iphone
I just got a new iPhone. It’s now two days later and I am unable to send or receive text messages (Message failed to send).

Thanks for your reply. I contacted Verizon via text who after running diagnostics for a couple of hours ended up switching my iPhone’s SIM card to an eSIM. While doing that fixed the inability to text or receive/send group chat messages it created another issue: I had no service when I left the WiFi range at my house. To correct this I went into Settings Cellular and noticed I had two SIMs selected. I deselected one of them and it fixed the no service issue.

Apple Inc does not provide SMS services. You do not have an SMS plan enabled by your carrier for the SIM that you are using. Probably you only have a Data plan on the SIM.
