System Settings can be launched by clicking the Apple menu at the top left corner of your screen and then clicking System Settings...
The System Information app lives in the Applications folder > Utilities folder.
You can do a Spotlight search to find and launch the System Information app. Press Command-space bar and type "system info" into the search field.
