Screen issue after update: the 8+ does not allow me to scroll to the bottom of the display so I cannot continue text entry in mail app.
strange: it bounces back and will not allow me to tap the cursor location at the end of my text; limiting my eMail to Twitter-sized replies. Bizarre bug- I have tried shutdown restart etc the problem remains.

Try the following to see whether that resolves the issue:
Force restart iPhone 8 Plus
Press and hold both the Volume Down button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. Continue to hold those buttons until the Apple logo appears, release both buttons. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Unfortunately, simultaneously holding in either volume button and the sleep/wake button activates an Emergency Alarm and initiates an Emergency Services Call on my iPhone so I am unable to wait for the Apple logo to appear and perform this fix.
