MacBook Pro Movies too dark

I've exhausted every possible option online, but I still can't find a solution to my problem. I have a 16-inch MacBook Pro M2 Max, and when I watch movies, they always appear to be in low brightness, even though I've maximized it. I've checked the accessibility settings, auto-dim settings, and more, but nothing seems to fix it. This issue becomes particularly noticeable when I'm watching movies in the dark, especially in the Apple TV app. Strangely, when I shine a flashlight onto the sensors, the brightness adjusts properly, even though the auto-dim feature is turned off. I'm at a loss for what to do. This problem is preventing me from enjoying movies in low-light conditions.

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

I've tried everything suggested, but the problem persists. Even when I fully maximize the brightness, I notice that the subtitles become brighter while the movie itself remains dim. Could this issue be related to HDR? When I switch back to Safari, the brightness is so intense that it hurts my eyes, prompting me to dim it, but when I return to watching a movie, I have to boost it up again. It seems like the background lighting isn't sufficient. This adjustment isn't providing a pleasant viewing experience at all. Overall, I don't have any brightness issues when playing games or watching YouTube videos, only when I'm using the Apple TV app to watch movies etc.
