zoom freezes with "your internet connection is unstable"

I've been seeing this a lot over the past 6 months or so. i get a message saying the internet connection is unstable. Everyone freezes (or rather, *I* freeze, they are fine) no audio either. Then it sort of comes back on. Happens on every zoom at least once, usually up to 8 times. Really frustrating.

I have restarted everything, my wifi is fine, speeds 500-1300mbps.

Everything else seems to work fine. Multiple other users at my house say they have zero problems with zoom.

Also I just updated to Sonoma, hoping that would fix the problem. NOPE.

WTH is going on??

if you are using iCloud Private Relay on Mac — try disabling this feature and compare your results...
