Updating Apps in the App Store

I updated my Apple ID recently to my new email address. My old email address is now redundant.

However now I cannot use a particular app. It prompts me to update it. When the update link opens up on the App Store it defaults to my old Apple ID which is my old email address that is now obsolete.

This is the case with many of the other apps on my phone.

Is it possible to change the Apple ID associated with a particular app to stop it defaulting to the old one. I don’t want to have to delete all the apps as many have an important history.

Thanks in advance.

I recommend reaching out to Apple Support or visiting an Apple Store for assistance with updating the Apple ID associated with specific apps on your iPhone. They can provide you with accurate guidance tailored to your specific situation.

What they are going to tell this user to do is to delete the app and download it under their new Apple ID, since they changed their Apple ID. Which isn't what they are hoping to have to do, because they will as they suggested, lose the data stored in the app.
