But it is in the settings just not in find my iPhone is there any way Apple could track his phone for him ? Or able to turn is iPhone location on so we can track it

well my brother can log in to his iCloud from his old phone but his phone that has gotten stolsn isn’t showing up in find my

I am assuming that Find My was enabled on the phone.....before....it was lost. Even then, the phone will not show up in Find My if one or more of these things are true:

  • The battery has run down
  • The phone is powered off
  • The phone does not have an Internet connection where it is located

There is nothing that you can do about this other than keep checking a few times each day to see if the status of the phone has changed.

Please keep in mind that thieves usually keep stolen phones in a special type of bag that will not allow the phone to send or receive a signal.

I'm sorry, but if you can't find the phone online after a few days, you will probably never find the phone. Most stolen phones are sold to a "fence" and are then shipped to a huge remanufacturing plant in China that receives thousands of phones every day.

Hopefully, the phone had insurance coverage.

At this point, we have done all that we can do. Good luck.

I don’t think he had it turn on but his phone was on and now has now been turn off as it was ringing this morning but isn’t ringing any more. We did ring the provider and ask them to block it. But we are just also not sure why we cannot see the device showing up on Find My iPhone as I can see his location from two days ago but not from today from my iPhone as I had his location shared with me but thanks for that hopefully find it soon
