Epson XP-4205 won't print from Macbook Air M2

Epson XP-4205 won't print from Macbook Air M2 but prints from iPhone 11 and iPad Air.

The Macbook Air runs Sonoma 14.3.1.

iPadOS 17.3.1

iPhone 11 iOS 17.3.1

I have rebooted the Macbook and printer repeatedly and run in safe mode without success. I have also removed and re-installed the printer and reinstalled the printer drivers although it wasn't likely to be the problem as it prints from the other two devices. I have also reinstalled Sonoma. I would welcome any suggestions. Thank you.

Since you are doing printing over WiFi, uninstall all the epson drivers and enable AirPrint on the Epson printer (which seems to be already enabled since you print with iPhone and iPad).

AirPrint does not require drivers to print to an AirPrint capable printer and the drivers can actually get in the way. Of course the Mac needs to be connected to the same WiFi network as the printer.

Have you considered:

  • Downloading Epson's drivers/firmware for your printer from Epson's support site?
  • Connecting the printer to your MBA physically via cable? (I realize this may not be the optimal solution, but it may allow you to print until wireless printing is sorted out).

The only other thing I can think of would be to reinstall MacOS and see if the problem is resolved that way.
