imessages to Android phones not sending

My new 2024 imac does not allow imessages to non iphone users ie Android phones

Correct. You can only send iMessages to Apple devices. You can send SMS texts if you allow text message forwarding: Set up iPhone to get SMS messages on Mac - Apple Support

iMessage on MacBook Pro with in the last 45 days, my MacBook Pro will no longer send iMessages to Android uses via SMS. I have tried everything written on this and no lock. My systems, OS, IOS, iCloud are all synced and up to date. This problem came out of no where...perhaps after a recent OS, IOS update... I can not pin it down. iMessage Not Working on New Mac Mini When Messaging Android iMessage has always works and still works today on my Macbook Pro. However, only since updating my Mac Mini last week, my Mac Mini will not send or receive messages from Android phones. It's infuriating and makes my Mac Mini feel like a lesser product. Do not try and convince me this is an "Apple only supports iMessage with other Apple products" issue, because I can send those messages through my MacBook Pro right now. Is there a work-around? This is getting infuriating.
