Home and Philips hue

It is disappointing that hue and Apple HomeKit are no longer integrated without a paid subscription. Or at least that is what I am getting when I try to add them to home kit. Any work around?

Hue does now require you to sign into their App to set up an account but I’ve not been asked to pay anything. Make sure you’re using the correct Hue App and set the Bridge and lights up in that, then activate HomeKit in settings - Integrate Smart Home and it should all sync over to the Apple Home App. Once you’ve installed the Hue App you will need to activate the Bridge by pressing the top button.
