Delete messages from iPad but NO where else

I’ve read every post on this question. Every response is different. And none of them work. I just don’t understand how this is so complicated. I don’t use my iPad to text I use it to draw! I just want all these messages GONE. Every response I’ve read makes it seem so fkn complicated. Where is the “turn off messages from the **** iPad only” button?!

I’ve gone to General > iPhone Storage > Messages and there is no “more” button like every mod is saying.

I’ve turned signed out of my iCloud and went to messages in the settings (which for some reason is in like 5 different places in the settings, just pick one please!) and it won’t let me in to delete them without signed me back into iCloud.

the fact that I’m wasting so much time trying to figure this out is a bad sign.
