Receiving text notifications
When I’m on my tablet and I receive a text on my phone, I don’t receive a sound notification on my phone telling me I have a text. Any idea why

Have you configured a text notification sound?
Settings > Sounds > Text Tone - set as required
Also check your Notification settings:
Settings > Notifications > Messages >
- Allow Notifications - set to ON
- [Alerts] Sounds > Alert Tones - ensure that you have not selected None
