Glad you found the files in Finder. You should be able to just click and drag them to the Photos icon.
In Photos, you'll see them show up in Imports and Recents, and you can grab them and drag them to an album, or you can select them and choose File>New Album with Selection.
Yer_Man: "Can you navigate across the card using the Finder?" LumixSamsung: "Afraid not"
Hold it--are you saying that you cannot open the SD card in Finder? that you can't see the contents of the card at all? You don't see photos or videos? Have you looked at the information for the card in Disk Utility? Does it mount?
Can you navigate across the card using the Finder?
Hi Richard, I’ve found the videos in Finder in a folder named PRIVATE and in a sub folder named AVCHD, all I need to do now is work out how I can transfer them to my library in Photos, thanks for you guidance.
How are you trying?
I'm inserting the SD card into the port in the rear of my iMac (2800) macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60)
And I'm receiving a message that there are No Photos but there are and I can view them on my camera.
Afraid not, I’m looking in my search history because I’m sure I’ve seen that macOS Sonoma doesn’t support videos 🤔
Thank you Richard, really appreciate your help, thank you.
