I see the GEICO app in the app store. I searched for “GEICO” and it came up right below the ad at the top of the listing.

After checking what was already posted by sberman in the Best Reply, One additional thing to check is VPN. If you use VPN delete the VPN profile from Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN.

And ignore the mostly useless advice in the post that has 6 numbered suggestions.

You can't update the App Store independely of iOs

That function hasn't existed in iOS for at least four years, probably more. Please test your suggestions before posting them. Out-of-date instructions can cause a great deal of confusion and waste people's time.

Hello~ It is just more evidence that someone doesn’t have the knowledge to actually be of help here…pure and simple. This post just points out they didn’t check on their own devices…again.

Test your answer. When answering a technical question, if possible, make sure your Submission works on your own Apple device before you post it.

It took me 10 seconds to test that particular suggestion and about 30 more to find out it hadn' been a feature for years.

I wonder if they even have an Apple device......

Please, can the contributor provide an Apple Support Document and or link to same, where the Apple App Store can be actually updated

Hello again ~ That exact thought has crossed my mind. Perhaps if I ask again nicely they will let us know whether they in fact have all these devices?
