My iPhone offloaded an app. Now I can't reinstall it.

The app my phone offloaded isn't in the appstore anymore, so I can't reinstall it. When I try to reinstall it, it just gives me the option to delete, or keep the data.

Thanks

iPhone 5, iOS 10

There are several reasons why you might receive a message on your iPhone stating that an app is no longer available in the App Store. Some common reasons include:

  1. Developer Removal: The app developer may have chosen to remove their app from the App Store voluntarily. This could be due to various reasons such as the app being discontinued, issues with the app, or the developer's decision to focus on other projects.
  2. End of Support: Developers may stop supporting an app, meaning they no longer provide updates or maintenance. In such cases, Apple might choose to remove the app from the App Store to prevent users from downloading an outdated and potentially vulnerable application.
  3. Technical Incompatibility: Sometimes, apps may become incompatible with the latest iOS updates or devices. In such cases, the app may be removed from the App Store to prevent users from downloading an app that might not work properly on their devices.

If you see such a message, you can no longer download or update the app through the App Store. If the app is essential to you, you may need to explore alternative apps or contact the app developer for more information on why the app was removed and if there are any plans.
