Security warning on my MacBook Pro.

I saw from a 2021 post that this pop-up is a scam. It reads: Apple Platform Security” and “ACCESS TO THIS PC HAS BEEN BLOCKED FOR SECURITY REASONS.” Because the reply with the fix is old, I wondered if there’s a new way rid it from my laptop.

No one, not even Apple, can "see" what is on your computer without your giving express permission for remote access.


If a specific web site did this to you, do Safari Preferences, then click the "Websites" tab. Choose "Notifications" from the left-hand pane and see if any sites you do not recognize show in the main pane:



If so, use the "Remove" button to delete the listing.
