My Apple Watch stops recharging at 80%

I recently had my Series 6 Watch replaced by Apple, and got a new one that is just two months old. However, for the past month, I’ve noticed that it stops recharging once it reaches 80% battery. To get it to 100%, I have to either reboot the watch or stop and restart the charging process after a few hours. It appears to be related to the Optimized Recharging feature, but this option is only available for Series 7 and later. What steps should I take to address this issue? Anybody else facing this problem?

Hi LD150; after reading you message, I read the documents on support page again, and found out I made a mistake: the feature is available from WatchOS 7 and above, not Apple Watch Series 7.

The problem is that the feature can only be accessed through adjustments in the Watch itself (you can’t configure it from the iPhone), and this is why I though Series 6 did not have Optimized recharging.

Your message made me search better, and solve the problem, thank you very much for this.
