Seeing “Delivered” AFTER blocking an individual: is it possible?

If their phone is currently off, and I send them a text it will obviously not show as delivered until their phone is on. If you were to block the individual AFTER seeing your message not being delivered due to it being off , will you still be able to see once it finally does deliver(turn on)? I know read receipts are different so I’m only focusing on the delivered notifications right now. OR would they have to remain unblocked for you to see once the message you sent is delivered.?
