How to upgrade from MS Word for Mac to the latest Word version

I have Microsoft Office for Mac 2011, version 14.7.7 (170905). I only use Word and wish to buy a current version of Word for Mac. Is that possible?

Word 2021 for Mac sold separately is priced by Microsoft at $159USD. You will only be able to install it on macOS Ventura or later.

You can get the entire Office 2021 for Mac Home and Business license and download for around $34USD from Stacksocial. That is where I purchased my Office 2021 for Mac and Windows 11.

If you cannot locate a newer suitable version of MS Word compatible with your Mac, you might consider an alternative software that handles Word and Office files. Libre Office is one such package, and it's free.
