Hi clevefromcolton,
welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.
Re: keybord too hard to hit right keys
✽ Wondering if you have tried rotating the iPhone to horizontal, so the keys are a little larger.
Seems this may work in many of the apps, eg: try it in "Mail", ":Safari", or "Notes" app.
If needed: See how to: Change or lock the screen orientation on iPhone - Apple Support
Also see Apple support's other articles (links below) for tips:
Type with the onscreen keyboard on iPhone
Eg: says you can:
✽ "Tap individual keys to type,
or
use QuickPath to type a word by sliding from one letter to the next without lifting your finger (not available for all languages). To end a word, lift your finger.
You can use either method as you type, and even switch in the middle of a sentence.
(If you tap
after sliding to type a word, it deletes the whole word.)
✽ You may want to customize the sensitivity of the screen to suit your touch
Eg: "you can adjust how the iPhone touchscreen responds to tap, swipe, and touch-and-hold gestures. You can have iPhone recognize faster or slower touches and ignore multiple touches."
See how to: Adjust how iPhone responds to your touch - Apple Support
All the best :-)
