Using Apple iSight Webcam on a Windows PC — Seeking Advice Hi everyone, I have a custom-built Windows PC, running 11 Pro, and I'm looking for a way to use an Apple iSight webcam with it. Specifically, I’m considering using an adapter to connect the FireWire cable to a USB-C port on my PC tower, along with Boot Camp drivers to make it work. Has anyone tried this setup before? If not, does anyone have suggestions or ideas on how I might achieve compatibility with Windows 11? Thanks in advance for your help!

JVC digital camera not recognised by M1 Mac mini 2020 (14.4.1), Firewire thunderbolt I have a JVC digital camera whose tapes I'd like to digitize, so I bought a mini DV to Firewire 800 cable, a Firewire 800 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter and then a thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 adapter, but the camera isn't recognized by my 2020 M1 mac mini running MacOs Sonoma 14.4.1. Any idea what I can do?

While its technically possible to do that, there's no real reason to.

You will need a whole set of adapters (4 at least) to get it to connect, and it will still be an obsolete, low quality webcam.

I would suggest you just a buy new cheap web cam instead, it will be easier to use, and will ave vastly superior image quality than the iSight camera.
