Out of warranty, out of cash

Purchased airpods pro from Very mail order. 18 months in they die big time. I look after them, they stay in their case when not in use. Take to the Apple store and they say go to Very to see if they can help - you get 2 years if bought directly from Apple. Very basically said no because they are over their warranty. So, this is the second time I've bought airpods and they've died. Apple, please....I can't afford to buy a third set :-( I am falling out of love with you.
