IOS 17.3 on iPhone, message SSL Certificate, there is No "Enable for Root Certificate" showing on my settings

Please help me, what is an Apple Configurator, or MDM management?? I will need step by step instructions since I am not tech savvy. My Safari won't connect, my Apple CarPlay won't connect, Navigator doesn't work.

Did this happen to everyone when they upgraded 10 iOS 17.3.1 ?? Why me? Did I do something wrong during Update?? Thanks!!

Thank you so much, Mr. Hoffman. Interesting... when I'm in a store... say in Publix the grocery store, or Target... their Apps seem to work, no problem.

Here are a couple of things that may be the issue, what do you think?

  1. I installed Malwarebytes recently
  2. AdStop has been on my OS for a while
  3. I do have Nord VPN, but it is in the "Off" Position
  4. I do use NordPass for my password keeper
  5. I have NordPass Password Manager as an extension on my Safari

Any thoughts on these that might interfere with my SSL Trust Certificate??? Thanks! Linda

Hi Mr. Hoffman,

Thanks, I did the Force ReStart, nothing happened. Then, I followed through on my MacBook OS with typing this Under the "Go": file:///System/Library/Security/Certificates.bundle/Contents/Resources/TrustStore.html

and I got here:

TrustStore.html

Please see my attached screenshots.... According to this screenshot, my Trusted Store version is what shows in my iOS window:

Trusted Store Version: 2023071300, then also in my iOS iPhone Certificate window it has a

Trust Asset Version 1002 (but I don't see that on my Resources page).

I will upload some screenshots, and hopefully you can understand them and assist me further. Thanks.

IPHONE:

MACBOOK AIR: file:///System/Library/Security/Certificates.bundle/Contents/Resources/TrustStore.html

Also, just an FYI, I have not set my Phone up with any Biometrics, I don't need to, so, I am sticking with the 6 digit Unlock Code.

If the forced restart did not work, do you have any add-on apps including add-on VPN apps, add-on security apps, add-on content-filtering apps, or other such?

Do you have any similar features or similar content blocks configured in your Wi-Fi network, or the Wi-Fi gateway / router / firewall box?

Or is the IT organization running this network possibly interested in restricting, securing, or potentially scanning network traffic?

Does performing this same requested operation over cellular, or from a different Wi-Fi network, work?

This almost certainly isn’t an issue with the Apple-provided trust store. If the trust store were malfunctioning, everything would be malfunctioning. The trust store is fundamental to modern networking, and to distributed authentication.

Biometrics are unrelated to this discussion.
