Turning off f-stops in cinematic mode editing

I recently started messing around with cinematic mode on my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. When I’m editing video some of my shots have multiple focus changes because of my subjects (in this case, a wide pan of puppies 😂). If I turn off the f-stops do I need to worry about reviewing any of those focus points?

Why is my iMovie video obscured in landscape mode? When i replay my Imovie or videos in Landscape mode , i now see video but part of image is blocked by the control tools .. these used to disappear once video started..now all my videos are obscured when played in landscape as these control remain for the full duration of my iphone.
