Can't sync photos to MacBook Pro

Syncing my photos to my MacBook Pro. Unable to do that even though the sync button shows on.

Have you checked that you are using the same Apple ID on the MacBook Pro as on your other devices? The Apple ID is what identifies your iCloud account (and set of iCloud Photos), as opposed to someone else's.

Does your MacBook Pro have a connection to the Internet?

If you log into the iCloud Web interface (https://www.icloud.com/) in Safari, do you see the photos that you expect there?

How are you syncing photos?

Using iCloud Photos?
Using Finder/iTunes synchronization?
Using some other method, like Image Capture?

I have only one Apple ID. It worked momentarily using Safari I could get all my photos. But then I tried using Chrome browser and they went away. Chrome is my default browser.
