Bitdefender on Mac?

I am installing Bitdefender on my Mac desktop. I got to a point where it stopped me and the window said: “Antivirus for Mac” will not be able to update or delete other applications until it is quit. Options are to Quit and reopen or later. I am afraid of quitting the antivirus for Mac…but it seems that I can’t finish installing the Bitdefender if I don’t?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
