Touchbar not working and panic after sleep mode

Hi, the touchbar on my Macbook M1 2020 Modell A2338 isn't lighting up anymore. It's still functional but I can't see it. At the same time I get the same error every time it goes into sleep mode. The first line starts with:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0xfffffe0030c88a8c): "virtual IOReturn ADPParamFIFO::programFIFO(IOMemoryMap *): ADP FIFO still busy after 1000ms" @ADPParamFIFO.cpp:263

I updated to Sonoma 14.3.1, tried to disable it, killed/restarted the process in the activity manager without any change.

Other people had the same problem here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254571256?sortBy=best

I wonder if there's an alternative to changing the hardware. Did anyone have the same issue or perhaps a fix?

kind regards,

Max

Thanks for the quick reply! just safebooted, unfortunately didn't solve the issue. I live on an island and the authorised dealer will probably sent it in for diagnostic. If it's most likely a hardware issue it will be possibly expensive since I don't have any warranty. So my next step would be to give it to my local computer repair shop to change the touch bar
