USB C/Thunderbolt Hub

I want to connect one cable to my macbook pro (16 inch M2 pro 2023). I want this cable to connect to some kind of hub that has accepts a power charger, a network cable and two 1080HD displays either over USB C or HDMI. The hub and cable mess will be hidden under the desk.

I am not concerned about super high resolution high band width capable graphics, this machine is used for development, but I do want extend the display not simply duplicate it.

I'm struggling to work out what hub to buy. A simple usb-c hub would suffice on a windows machine but it appears macs are more fussy. Any ideas? Preferably something that doesn't cost the earth.

To connect up to two hardware-accelerated displays on one cable out of a Mac, the Port, the cable, and the first device must be genuine Thunderbolt.

USB-C cables have only half as many data pathways, so the Mac does not support two displays on one USB-C cable, regardless of screen resolution. In addition, turning OFF the built-in display does NOT provide an additional external display capability.
