Beats Solo Pro wireless headphones static sound - FIXED!

I've seen several posts on this and I have found a fix that works for me.

Symptom: Static/ hissing/ garbled noise/ in on ear while in noise canceling mode, but music still plays underneath.

Noise is apparent even when not connected to bluetooth.

At first I thought this was a component failure on the ANC (Active Noise Canceling) circuit. But I now believe it is a mechanical issue with part of the ANC microphone.

How I fixed it:

1. Take the static-y side and place the ear cup against your palm.
2. Place your other hand on the outside of the headphones.
3. Do a quick / gentle squeeze. This should force air through the headphones.
4. Try the headphone on again with ANC enabled.
5. Repeat with more force if necessary.

If you are lucky like me the static is gone.
