How to add a gmail email to iPhone calendar event

I’m not sure what your question is. Do you mean you want to add a notification of the event that will go to someone’s email address? You do that by adding the email address as an “invitee” in the event settings.
I’m still not sure what you are trying to do. If you have an email with information you want to add to an event you should be able to copy and paste the relevant information into the Notes field in the calendar event.
I have an event on my Apple calendar. I was trying to add a gmail email as an attachment to that event on my iPhone. The details of that email does show on my calendar on my Mac as I had accepted the invite from a friend. When I view the event on my iPhone the details ( flight info ) does not show.
