iPhone 15 ProMax battery started draining faster

I have had my 15 ProMax since the day it was launched, and was happy with the battery life. As advertised, 1-2 days of normal use. Then suddenly, around 4 days ago, the battery started draining for nothing. I thought it was an app that I had just downloaded, so I went as far as to factory reset everything. Battery is still bad.

Notice that my battery health is still at 100%, and this happened basically overnight. I come from a 3 year old iPhone 12 mini and my battery now is worse than the old phone. I left my house at 40%, got on the bus, did a couple of google searches, typed this text, and 9 minutes later I am at 32%. Normally this would’ve taken 1% if any at all.

What is happening? Anyone else going through something similar?

31% now…

When you go to Settings/Battery what apps are using the most energy? Battery drain means something is using energy, and the only things that use energy are maintaining a cellular connection and apps, so if it isn’t the cellular network then the only remaining possibility is apps.

As it started 3 days ago I would suspect a cellular network outage; have you checked with your carrier?

Lawrence I haven’t changed the area where I live. I have 5 bars the entire day everywhere. I also charge it overnight only, but this hasn’t been something cumulative. It started happening literally 3 days ago. I also thought it could be an app but all the apps I have are the normal regular use (instagram, mail, messages) the same way I have been using them since I got my phone, and there seems to be nothing strange app wise. Also no iOS updates three days ago…
